STAYCATION
We all need a vacation, but sometimes you don’t have to go far to get away. This past weekend we stayed close to home and spent some time together at The Georgian Hotel in Santa Monica. This is our second stay in a Pacifica Hotel hotel, our first was a trip up north to Santa Barbara at The Wayfarer. A stone’s throw away from the beach and Santa Monica Pier. Just around the block is Third Street Promenade for shopping, dining and movie going. You get the best of both worlds: city life with a cool calm beach atmosphere, just what you need for vacation.
This historic hotel with its art deco vibe transcends you back to the glamours days of old Hollywood.On our stay we were able to fully escape in a spacious ocean view room. Starting our day off right with an ocean breeze at The Veranda Restaurant enjoying french toast soufflé and a cappuccino – what more can you ask for?
The shopping at Third Street will make you feel like Hollywood royalty with their selection of upscale retail stores, dining, bars, and movie theaters. Watch out for the paparazzi though– they’ll get you coming or going.
With a quick walk across the bridge you will find yourself in fun zone mode at the Santa Monica Pier. Family restaurants, arcade, and the iconic ferris wheel will transport you to an amusement park by the ocean. The Georgian is a one stop shop for relaxing daytime entertainment and exciting Los Angeles night life. So close to all of the action is what makes Santa Monica such a prime location for vacation.
